WHAT IS A STYLED SHOOT?

A styled shoot is a no-holds-barred “mock wedding,” collaboratively crafted by a team of wedding industry creatives to inspire newly engaged couples, build relationships within the industry, and push creative boundaries without the constraints a real wedding. Often the “bride” and “groom” are an actual couple and each decorative detail and design element is carefully planned out to reflect a theme.

WHY DO THEY EXIST?

Styled Shoots offer a wealth of creative freedom, allowing us to explore new ideas, stretch our imagination, and produce something innovative! They also make up a LOT of the wedding photos seen online: an estimated 80%-90% of the most popular pins on Pinterest come from styled shoots, and perhaps 25%-40% of what is seen on popular wedding blogs. Many blogs have separate sections labeled “Real Weddings” and “Wedding Inspiration” to help couples distinguish actual weddings from Styled Shoots.
